About Liljedahl Farms, Inc.
Liledahl Farms, Inc. is a three-generation family farm, based in Essex, Iowa. Charles and Eileen Lijedahl began the operation in 1957. Dennis returned to the farm in 1975, followed by his son Drew in 2006. The farm produces corn, soybeans, seed soybeans, and hogs on both rented and family-owned land.
Drew graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a BT in Agriculture Science in 2006. He is a member of the Page and Fremont Country Corn and Soybean Growers Association. He is also on the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Page County Council.
Candice graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Meteorology in 2006. She was previously an on-air television meteorologist in Topeka KS, Omaha NE, and KMA Radio in Shenandoah IA. She is now a stay-at-home mom with Parker and Piper. Candice is involved in the Essex Community Club and Study and Service Club.
Diane graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1974. She is a member of the Page County Board of Review. Diane is involved with Meals on Wheels, Study and Service Clube, Page County 4-H Endowment Board, and volunteers for many other community and church activities.
Dennis graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in Animal Science in 1975. He is the president-elect of the Iowa Pork Producer Association, and also a member of the Page County Pork Producers, Iowa Corn Growers, and Soybean Growers. He has served on the Essex Community Schools’ Board of Directions as well as the Page County Soil and Water Conservation Board
